Creating an Unprecedented Cognac Experience
HADESIS | The Legend of French Silky Aromatic Cognac
Rooted in the heart of the Cognac region and inheriting generations of winemaking wisdom from the CHOLLET family, HADESIS embodies the soul of “Silky Aromatic Cognac” — a premium spirit crafted exclusively for the refined Asian palate.
Every drop of HADESIS originates from the family’s own vineyards in the very heart of Cognac, drawing grapes from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois crus. The limestone-clay soils and gentle, humid microclimate nurture grapes of exceptional elegance and finesse.
Through the CHOLLET family’s unique blending philosophy, the most distinctive eaux-de-vie are seamlessly harmonised into HADESIS’ signature “Silky Aromatic” style — smooth and rounded, with layer upon layer of aromatic complexity, perfectly aligned with Asian consumers’ pursuit of balance and refinement.

Artisanal Viticulture • Natural, Low-Intervention
More than half of the vines are over forty years old, imparting greater mineral depth and complexity. The estate practises low-intervention, natural viticulture, allowing every grape to faithfully express the pure character of its terroir.
Traditional Distillation • A Celebration of Time
The classic double distillation is carried out in traditional copper Charentais pot stills, ensuring purity and finesse. The most precious old eaux-de-vie are still distilled over open flame, preserving ancestral techniques and imparting deeper aromatic layers.

Oak Ageing • Rich Layers of Time
The cellars house a vast collection of traditional French oak casks, including rare reserves from the 1950s to the 1980s. Many casks are up to fifty years old. The cognac first matures in small barrels for single-cask ageing, before final blending and harmonisation in large oak vats.
Reduction and the Philosophy of Water
During the réduction stage, demineralised water is precisely blended with pure spring water to fully express the signature silky character.
The V.S.O.P and X.O each undergo 5 to 8 successive reductions.
This exacting process reflects a level of craftsmanship far beyond that of mass-produced brands, dedicated solely to the creation of a truly exceptional cognac.
We insist on a staged dilution process of 5 to 8 precise reductions. After each reduction, the spirit must rest and fully integrate in oak for a minimum of two years before the next dilution can take place.
This meticulous method allows water molecules to marry completely with the alcohol, aromatic compounds and body of the cognac, resulting in a more layered and complex mouthfeel.
Unlike mass-produced cognacs that prioritise volume through rapid dilution — often resulting in harsh, unbalanced spirits due to insufficient integration — the core value of our small-batch, artisanal approach lies in placing time and craftsmanship above industrial efficiency. Every drop thus expresses greater roundness and richer layers of complexity.
In contrast to mass-produced cognacs that prioritise speed and volume — often resulting in harsh, unbalanced spirits due to insufficient integration — HADESIS’ small-batch philosophy places time and craftsmanship above industrial efficiency. Every drop thus expresses greater roundness, depth and complexity.
